Emmerdale viewers have been left in tears over the ‘brilliant’ all female episode for International Women’s Day.

The soap created an episode made and featuring an exclusively all women cast and crew for the day, and it moved viewers to tears.

Lisa Dingle made a shock return to reveal she was dying of a terminal heart condition, Chas Dingle revealed she was pregnant after the tragic loss of baby Gracie last year, and April was given a boost after being teased at school.

The emotional scenes had viewers in tears and hailing it as the best episode the soap had ever produced.

One said: “Emmerdale thank you for an amazing All Women episode this evening.

“This episode was just SO well done. I have never EVER cried tears of happiness but this episode changed that (I cried sad tears as well).
