Emmerdale SPOILERS: Graham and Rhona plan to start new life away from village before his brutal murder

No happy ending for the couple...

Graham Foster is the closest he’s been to happy since he arrived in Emmerdale two years ago.

Kim Tate’s henchman/lover/husband has been at her beck and call all along, so much so that he was forced to part ways with his surrogate son Joe Tate in order to protect him from her.

His tragic past includes the death of his wife and unborn child, and a devastating battle with alcoholism.

But now, Graham is ever so slightly less moody and could even be classed as content – all thanks to girlfriend Rhona and the secret knowledge that he is father to Millie.

In upcoming scenes, Graham jumps at the chance of freeing himself from the clutches of bitter and twisted ex-Kim, and plans to escape the village with Rhona by his side.

Christmas spoilers confirm that Graham and Rhona plan to flee the baggage of Emmerdale, weeks before he is killed off.

Graham’s murder will form part of an unmissable week of drama packed full of exciting twists and turns.

Sadly, though, the couple won’t get their happy ending when he is murdered before he gets the chance.

When Rhona is offered a job in France, she’s left torn over whether to accept or not.

When Graham makes a gesture towards Rhona’s son Leo, they both confess their love for each other and realise moving away from the village could be the best thing for their relationship.

Sadly, though, Graham doesn’t make it out of the village alive…

We revealed this week that Graham, played by actor Andrew Scarborough, will be killed off in a shocking new whodunnit in January.

Why and by whom all remain to be seen.

Speaking about the upcoming story, show producer Laura Shaw said: “Graham’s murder will form part of an unmissable week of drama packed full of exciting twists and turns.

“It’s always exciting to step outside of our usual storytelling style and viewers will be on the edge of their seats as some of our villagers have their lives changed forever.

“Graham has been a huge character at the heart of some of our biggest storylines so it felt only fitting that he left us with an emormous, explosive bang to kick off what promises to be a massive year of drama for Emmerdale.”

As the list of enemies grows over the next month, who is really capable of murder?
