Emmerdale SPOILER: Charity breaks devastating news

The truth is revealed...

There’s heartbreak heading for Emmerdale next week when Charity Dingle breaks the huge news that Lisa Dingle is terminally ill.

Fans recently saw Charity get a mysterious phone call, which later was revealed to have been Lisa, asking her to come and visit her in Scotland.

It was then revealed during the soap’s special episode for International Women’s Day that Lisa has been diagnosed with a terminal heart condition and that she doesn’t have much longer to live.

Charity was understandably left devastated by the news, and as the women sat down and discussed the practicalities for Lisa’s impending death, the usually feisty Charity was reduced to tears as she wrote a moving eulogy at Lisa’s request.

But while Lisa might have shared her devastating diagnosis with Charity, and also revealed that her husband Zak knows, she begged Charity to keep the news a secret from daughter Belle.

But next week sees a new twist in the storyline as Vanessa gets increasingly worried about Charity as she starts to act out of character.

Vanessa confronts her fiancee and, unable to hold the secret in any longer, Charity tells a stunned Vanessa that Lisa is dying.

As Vanessa struggles to get her head around the news, she does her best to comfort a broken Charity, but how much longer will the secret be kept hidden from Belle?

With two people in the village now knowing the truth, surely it is only a matter of time before Belle finds out what is about to happen to her mum?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
