Emmerdale viewers are demanding an apology from the soap after Emmerdale’s official Twitter page tweeted Cain Dingle being attacked before the scenes aired.

Last night’s episode (01.01.19) was an hour long starting at 7pm, and the tweet went out at 7:30pm.

Emmerdale tweeted “Cain’s been attacked, and he’s in a bad way… #Emmerdale” with a picture of a beaten up Cain.

However the scene had not yet aired.

Viewers complained this tweet ‘spoilt’ their viewing and demanded an apology.

Viewers know Cain has been constantly worrying after he punched his daughter’s fiance Joe Tate causing him to hit his head on a rock, leading Cain to believe he killed him.

Last night when he confronted Isaac and his friends for attacking stepson Matty on New Year’s he was unable to throw a punch as he was haunted by what happened to Joe.

Cain ended up being beaten up by the group and viewers were angry with Emmerdale writers for ‘ruining’ Cain Dingle’s character.
