Emmerdale fans think Graham Foster is “hot in real life” as he’s pictured on cast night out

He certainly looked a lot more relaxed

Fans of Emmerdale star Andrew Scarborough were surprised this week to see him looking so different to his on-screen alter-ego.

The actor, 46, featured in a snap uploaded to Instagram by his co-star Louisa Clein of cast members enjoying themselves on a night out.

Andrew, who plays Graham Foster on the show, looked cool and relaxed as he smouldered at the camera – and swooning fans were quick to gush that he’s “hot in real life”.

One said, “Andrew looks so different!” and someone else agreed, replying, “I didn’t recognise him”.

A third simply wrote “Andrew” alongside a heart-eye emoji.

Another commented, with a laughing-crying emoji: “Graham is hot in real life.”

One follower pointed out: “Look how cool Andrew looks.”

“You all look so different, so relaxed from the Dales!” wrote another, adding: “Love it. Partying the night away in the city I guess? Have a good one.”

After months appearing to be grieving the loss of surrogate son Joe Tate, who viewers believed to be dead, it was this week revealed Joe is alive and living abroad – and what’s more, Graham was the one who helped him disappear.

Speaking about the character on Lorraine last year, Andrew said Graham is essentially living with a “safari” inside his head.

He explained: “You lift the lid off and you see his mental state. On the surface he’s very calm, very… together. But underneath, he’s quite a wild beast, and he’s trying to tame it all the time.

Asked about the experience of filming for such a dark character, he said it involved “two weeks of being quite depressed” as he had to get into “that state” to film Graham’s scenes.
