The actress opened up about people's perceptions of her

Emmerdale star Charley Webb has hit back at claims she is “miserable” and “moody”.

The Debbie Dingle actress hosted her first Q&A on Instagram during a day of travelling yesterday (August 8).

And, during the chat, she was asked about the biggest misconception about herself.

Charley replied: “Just how moody I am. Apparently I’m really miserable. I’m just not a massively over the top smiley person.”

Hitting back at those who have clearly criticised the star, Charley assured her followers that she was “happy” with the way she is.

She added: “But I’m absolutely fine inside and I’m happy with the way I am. I don’t need to be constantly smiling for everyone.”

Teasing the show, she said: “Such a long afternoon but the best. Had so much fun. Cannot wait for you all to see it – it was brilliant.

Apparently I’m really miserable. I’m just not a massively over the top smiley person.

“And Rylan he is the best in the business. I love him.”

Charley and husband Matt also enjoyed a rare child-free evening after staying overnight at a hotel.

The actress shares sons Buster, 10, and Bowie, four, and one-year-old Ace with her husband.

Charley said it was the first time she had left youngest son Ace so she was a bit apprehensive but it was fine in the end.

She said: “It’s the first time I’ve left Ace so I’m feeling a little bit weird but fine. I’m going to get up in the morning and get back home to them. I cannot wait to see them.”

Earlier today she posted a picture of the couple leaving their hotel and joked it was much easier without their three boys in tow.

Charley said: “Up and having breakfast before we leave. It’s so weird just leaving with no kids to get ready. Easiest morning ever.”

What is Emmerdale’s Charley Webb’s new business?

As well as filming Supermarket Sweet, her first television job in a while, Charley also revealed she will be launching her new business on Monday.

She said: “We’re hoping to launch on Monday. I’m nervous/excited/NERVOUS.”

Fans have been desperate to know what her new project is – and they won’t have to wait long.

Charley recently spoke about the new venture, sharing: “Some exciting news. I’ve working at home all day today because we’re launching our own business, which I am so excited about.”

However, she continued: “We had the idea of something similar for like 10 years when Buster was first born.

“But we just didn’t have the time, so we had to box it and put it away. And now we’ve started it again. It’s changed since 10 years ago because things do change.”

But Charley added: “I’m so excited. I can’t wait to tell you all and share it with you.

“Hopefully you’ll be able to come on a little journey with us. I can’t wait!”

Neither can we!
