EastEnders fans want Stuart Highway “dead”

They're not happy after last night's trip to Walford

| Updated:

Last night’s trip to Albert Square has left fans fuming after evil Stuart Highway threatened Linda Carter in The Vic barrel store and delivered her a chilling message.

After Halfway and the Carters watched Stuart’s video admitting that he made a mistake about innocent Fred as part of his predator hunting, everyone was left shocked when Mick admitted that Stuart himself has been a victim of abuse.

But despite that explaining why he is so desperate to bring down people to pray on innocent victims, Shirley and Linda were still unsure of Stuart.

Mick and Halfway on the other hand seemed to soften towards Walford’s new hardman, with Halfway having a heart-to-heart with his brother.

But while Mick might have forgiven his old friend, Linda definitely hadn’t.

After Mick and Stuart had a few beers too many, Linda was forced to go to the cellar to change the beer barrel without Mick’s help. But once there, she was cornered by Stuart, who suddenly turned sinister.

Stuart pretended to be friendly at first, but fans were left sickened when he threatened Linda, telling her “I go there I want, when I want” after she suggested their drinking session should come to an end.

But fans weren’t happy about his bully behaviour… with one even calling for Stuart’s demise!

Fans even likened his threatening behaviour to that of Dean Wicks, who raped Linda back in 2014, and thought that his words might have bought back painful memories for the character.

But there’s plenty more of Stuart’s unsavoury behaviour to come in tonight’s trip to Walford when Mick hears about his old friend’s threats to his wife and the pair clash.

Stuart claims that his menacing behaviour was just a joke. But was it?

EastEnders continues tonight at 9:30 on BBC One.
