EastEnders viewers don’t think Phil Mitchell will die after he was attacked by Stacey Fowler.

In last night’s episode of EastEnders (July 30 2019) Stacey was furious after falling out with her husband Martin.

Meanwhile Phil was making enemies as Ben found out he was no longer in his will and Keanu cancelled Phil’s meeting with gangster Danny, who once locked Louise and Keanu in a shipping container.

Kat soon got on Phil’s bad side when she started mouthing off at the Walford hardman.

Angry, Phil began threatening Kat’s children.

As they went into the Arches, Phil grabbed Kat and began yelling at her but Martin soon got involved.

The two men began fighting and Phil got the upperhand as he had Martin on the ground with a crowbar to his neck.

As it looked like Martin wouldn’t be getting out alive, Stacey came along and whacked Phil over the head with a spanner and he fell to the ground and appeared to be lifeless.

However viewers don’t think that Phil has been killed off as he has been through too much.

The big ‘clue’ that he’ll be okay seems to be that no one believes the show would kill him off “on a random Tuesday night”.

Thursday’s show will see Phil in critical condition – and the Slaters try to figure out how to cover their tracks.

Will Phil survive? And will Stacey go to prison as actress Lacey Turner heads on maternity leave?

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
