Former EastEnders actor Jonny Labey has revealed he’s engaged to his girlfriend Chrissy Brooke.

Alongside the picture, Jonny wrote a heartfelt caption calling Chrissy “the perfect balance of kind, beautiful and crazy”.

He said: “She said YES… a while back!

“It was obvious from the moment we met, she’s the perfect balance of kind, beautiful and crazy that I’ll love for the rest of my life! I love you @chrissy_brooke. Here’s to many more years.”

He then thanked jewelers Royal Asscher for creating Chrissy’s “beautiful ring”.

Of course, fans are over the moon for the happy couple.

One person said: “Yay congrats guys! That’s great news!” while another commented: “You guys are the cutest.”

A third added: “Omg I’m so happy for you!!! Congrats!”

Jonny left EastEnders in 2016 after his character was murdered by a gang of homophobic thugs.

Paul’s relationship with Ben Mitchell, played by Harry Reid, won a huge fanbase.

At the time, Jonny admitted he didn’t want to leave the soap.

He told the Express: “It wasn’t my choice, but I’m a big believer in everything happens for a reason.

“It’s sad as I was just getting into it and he’s [Paul] just sort of arrived and started to get interesting.

“Like any other job, it’s always about the bigger picture and all you can do, is do the part justice.”

Since leaving the soap, Jonny has gone on to judge CBBC’s Taking The Next Step.

Meanwhile, Jonny and Chrissy won Channel 5 show Dance Dance Dance last year, beating former Coronation Street star Lucy Jo Hudson.
