Stacey Slater’s rape storyline is revisited in EastEnders next week.
Her ordeal at the hands of evil Archie Mitchell almost 10 years ago rears its ugly head as she takes to the stand in Ruby Allen’s rape trial, making Stacey realise that she needs to face what happened all those years ago.
As Ruby heads to court to face Matt and Ross, Stacey is by her best friend’s side every step of the way.

But while Ruby bravely gives her version of what happened on that fateful night last year, Stacey starts to relive what happened to her when she was raped by Archie back in 2009.
As Stacey takes to the stand to give evidence in the court case, she is a bundle of nerves.
And as she starts to buckle under pressure with nothing but Archie on her mind, she is worried that she has ruined everything for Ruby.
But Ruby understands that talking about what happened to her has been tough for Stacey, and is grateful for her support.
The pair talk about what happened to Stacey all those years ago, and as Stacey confesses that she never got to face Archie, Ruby comes up with a plan to help.
Trying to help her best friend get closure, Ruby takes Stacey to Archie’s grave, hoping that telling him what she has wanted to say for the last 10 years might help the mum of three move on.

After some encouragement, Stacey finally has the chance to say her piece, and after telling Archie exactly how she feels, Stacey is left feeling like a weight has been lifted.
As Stacey puts her demons to rest, Ruby realises she needs to do the same thing and heads back to court to hear Matt and Ross’s testimonies… but will things go in her favour?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
