EastEnders SPOILER: Sean discovers Roxy is dead as he returns to the Square

Sean's return to Albert Square is far from happy...

All is right with the world now that Sean Slater is back in Albert Square. But while Jean and Stacey might be thrilled to see him, there is a huge death shock heading his way.

It’s been 10 years since we saw Sean in Albert Square, and a lot has happened since he was last in Walford. But Sean is about to learn that the hard way when Jack Branning drops the huge bombshell that Roxy Mitchell is dead.

EastEnders fans will know that Roxy and Sean tied the knot back in 2008, but after a confrontation with Jack next week, it soon becomes clear that Sean has no idea his ex wife is dead.

The tension over Amy that Jack and Sean shared 1o years ago is still going strong when they come face-to-face next week, and when Jack discovers that Sean was behind Amy’s sudden disappearance, Jack isn’t happy.

But when Jack works out that Sean is in the dark about the tragic demise of the Mitchell sisters, he takes Sean to Roxy’s grave and breaks the news.

After explaining to Sean about how the sisters drowned on his wedding day to Ronnie, Jack doesn’t hold back and gives Sean some seriously close to the bone home truths… revealing that he blames Roxy for Ronnie’s death and will always hold her accountable.

But hearing Jack badmouthing Roxy reignites old feelings in Sean and it isn’t long before the pair are fighting in the graveyard like a pair of teenagers.

Eventually the men calm down and Sean reluctantly admits that he has returned to Albert Square to  make amends and right the wrongs that he left behind 10 years ago.

But is it all too little, too late?

It’s clear Jack and Sean will never be friends, but one thing they do have in common is the fact they both want what is best for little Amy.

But as Jack reveals to the Slaters that Sean is back, Sean’s world is about to be turned upside down when he faces the reality of Jean living with cancer.

Will Sean’s return to Walford be much tougher than he ever realised?

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
