EastEnders SPOILER: Romance for Kush and Iqra

Denise who?!

There could be romance heading to Albert Square next week when Kush Kazemi takes a shine to newcomer Iqra Ahmed.

Ever since Masood’s nieces arrived in Walford they have been causing a stir… and next week is no exception as their big Walford East event arrives.

The sisters’ restaurant bash gets off to a bad start when Ruby Allen, who has been roped in to helping with managing the party, innocently posts a picture on social media, leaving Iqra spooked.

But while the real reason she wants to keep a low profile now she is in Walford is still a mystery, Habiba tries to reassure her that the picture is no big deal.

After her sister persuades her to come back into the restaurant and enjoy the party, Iqra is clearly flustered about the photo, and accidentally knocks a tray of drinks all over Kush.

But despite finding his while shirt dripping in wine, Kush can’t get angry when he sees who it was that knocked the drinks over.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Kush is instantly smitten with Masood’s niece, and as the pair are formally introduced there is a definite spark between them.

EastEnders fans will know that Kush is still mending a broken heart after he and Denise Fox called time on their relationship after they’d drifted apart.

So with Kush single and clearly ready to mingle, could Iqra be just what he needs to take his mind off his failed romance with Denise?

But Iqra clearly comes with some sort of baggage. Her and Habiba have remained tight-lipped about what has really bought them to Walford, claiming to their uncle that they were there to help him with his restaurant while he was in Australia.

However it is clear they’re not telling the whole truth… so what could the pair be running from? And is Kush about to get mixed up in something very messy indeed?

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
