EastEnders SPOILER: Robbie Jackson’s ex Nita set to return

It's just for one episode

There’s set to be another shock return to EastEnders in the coming weeks when Robbie Jackson’s ex, Nita Mistry, heads back to the Square.

Dean Gaffney is returning as Robbie next week and he will be joined by Bindya Solanki, who played Nita between 2001 and 2003.

Nita and Robbie left for a new life together in India 2003 and had a child, Sami, but they separated off-screen in 2015.

When Robbie returns next week, it’s with their son, and his ex-wife will text him telling him to enjoy their time together.

Actress Bindya will then be seen back in Walford for the first time in 16 years.

Her return is just for one episode as part of Robbie’s storyline.

Why is she back? Will this be the last we see of her? And what big secret is Robbie really hiding?

Dean, 41, will be back on Monday June 3 after his character has been spending time in India doing some “soul searching”.

Back in March, Dean revealed his character had headed to India to “right some wrongs”, and hinted that he might come back to Walford with a new love interest.

He told Digital Spy: “Robbie has been off in India soul-searching. He’s gone to right some wrongs, cross some T’s and dot some I’s.

“When he comes back, which is not too long now, is he alone, has he found love?”

And in November last year, Dean said he was desperate for Robbie to find love again after he and ex-girlfriend Donna Yates (Lisa Hammond) split up over the summer, and at the time had his sights set on Minute Mart employee Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton).

He said at the time: “Honey is good, I think Honey’s a good character because she’s kind of ditzy, a bit like Robbie.

“It would work well, I think.

“He had a great time with Donna, obviously, and now she’s gone he’s kind of moping around the Square.

“It would be nice to get a bit of love back in his life.”

EastEnders is on Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.
