Ben Mitchell’s affair with Callum Highway looks to have been destined to happen.
Former Ben actor Harry Reid has posted a soap throwback picture showing himself with Halfway actor Tony Clay from 2008 and it has delighted fans.

Posting the throwback snap on Twitter, he captioned it: “You could of got that kiss after all… @tony_clay76.”
Fans of Ben and Callum’s relationship, nicknamed Ballum, loved the picture and called it proof of destiny.
One said: “It was written in the stars #Ballum.”

A second said: “I – you literally foreshadowed Ballum without even knowing it. Are you secretly writing the show or?”
A third joked: “Kate Oates sifts through cast members’ social media to try and find storyline ideas.”
Another said: “So funny. Ben and Halfway were lovers before they met in Walford.”
Harry and Tony only appeared on screen together for a handful of episodes before Harry left the role in early 2017.
When Ben returned he was played by a different actor – Max Bowden.
And it is that Ben who worked out Callum’s secret and began to develop feelings for him.
And those feelings are only set to grow as actor Max has said recently.
He told Inside Soap magazine: “There’s also so much to come with Callum.

“Ben is starting to develop feelings, something he’s usually capable of dismissing – but Callum and Whitney are planning a wedding, so it’ll get complicated! We’ll have to see what happens there.”
He added: “What was beautiful was the common ground between them – these are two proud, masculine men who’ve come from a similar background. Ben can see something in Callum he once saw in himself, and I think their chemistry showed in that scene. It’s worked.”
