EastEnders fans are worried Dot Branning won’t return to Walford after June Brown revealed her health issues.
The actress told today how she has had to stop going out socially because of her sight loss and the BBC has reported this will be her final year on the soap.
June revealed today how her eye sight has degenerated so badly that she can no longer read newspapers, drive, or see faces.
She has also had to stop going out socially because she cannot tell who she is talking to anymore.
But with the revelations about her health, soap fans have begun to worry June won’t be returning to EastEnders where she is currently on a short break.

One said: “OMG how sad. Poor June. I presume they’ll be killing her off then. Maybe that’s the whole idea of the latest storyline – killing off Dot for her vast fortune? OK now I’m both sad and angry #EastEnders #Junebrown”
A second said: “I seriously hope they do not kill her off without letting Brown have her opinion on the matter.
“If Brown wishes to have Dot killed off then I’ll be satisfied with that ending, but if the bosses take the choice out of her hands, I’ll be so annoyed.
“I’m with you on the whole guest appearance front though, I’d love to see her pop back every now and again for an appearance.”
However June herself renewed her contract for another year to take her to next year, and has insisted she doesn’t know if she is leaving.
“As for leaving… you’d have to ask the scriptwriters,” she told the Daily Mirror.

“They have to decide what will happen to Dot and then they’ll approach me. I don’t think they will kill me off.
“I don’t think anybody there would like to. I think they’ll probably just send me off to Ireland forever, but I really have no idea.”
Fans will have to wait to see to find out whether Dot will return from her trip to Ireland.
