EastEnders’ Big Mo is in the new Hellboy movie and fans are totally behind it!

She's even feistier with a machine gun in her hand!

Laila Morse has thrilled fans with her new starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster – and her latest character is just as feisty as EastEnders’ Big Mo!

Unsuspecting film fans got a happy surprise yesterday (Wednesday 19 December), when the long-awaited official trailer for Hellboy was finally released.

As well as the titular red hero – played by Stranger Things star David Harbour – viewers were introduced to a mouthy peroxide blonde chippy worker… played by British actress Laila!

In a comedy moment typical of the anti-hero film, Laila’s character is seen asking Hellboy for “some ID love”.

In a later scene, she’s seen brandishing a huge machine gun and firing with all cylinders – but at whom we don’t know.

We’ve got to say, it looks like it was a LOT of fun to film!

The movie – which also stars Ian McShane – will be released in April 2019 and is based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola.

And it sounds like Laila fans will be flocking to watch the film, with some even saying she’s the best thing in the trailer…

(Don’t tell Hellboy, though, you won’t like him when he’s angry).

One fan said: “The @HellboyMovie trailer makes me incredibly happy. Big Mo with a machine gun. You’re welcome. #Hellboy.”

Another said: “Erm… #Hellboy …. Big Mo …. machine gun? Yep I’m sold …. take my money!!”

A third added: “The best part of the new Hellboy Trailer was Mo from EastEnders brandishing a gun.”

So the 73-year-old’s role in the film – or the trailer at least – seems to be a big hit.

But we hope that doesn’t mean she’ll be heading to Hollywood for good, following famous brother Gary Oldman!?
