EastEnders viewers question where Bobby Beale has gone

Bobby struggled with his past

Viewers of EastEnders have been left questioning where Bobby Beale has gone.

Earlier this year, the BBC soap brought back teenager Bobby, now played by Clay Milner Russell.

Bobby was sent to prison back in 2015 for the murder of his older half-sister Lucy and for causing grievous bodily harm on his adoptive mother Jane.

Since his return to Walford, it was obvious Bobby had struggled to settle back in.

It’s like he doesn’t exist.

Eventually it was revealed that Bobby was converting to Islam to help him find peace in his past.

But it appeared Bobby was struggling badly with his past and was having visions of his sister Lucy.

Last month, after he had taken drugs, Bobby walked onto a set of train tracks and through a tunnel where he saw his deceased sister and heard her voice in his head saying she would always be there.

Luckily Callum Highway saw Bobby walking onto the tracks and went after him, managing to get him out of the way of an oncoming train.

Bobby told Callum about his visions and hearing Lucy’s voice and he got some help .

But viewers have been left wondering where Bobby has gone, as he hasn’t been on screen in a few weeks.

In a Digital Spy forum a user wrote: “It’s like he doesn’t exist.”

A second wrote: “I’m not sure but I’ve been wondering. Is he meant to still be in hospital getting therapy or is he back at home but off screen?

“I hope he comes back soon, I really like him.”

A third said: “They did this a few months back with Ruby.

“She was seen in the hen do, then nothing for nearly three weeks until Bex’s leaving party when she showed up with Max.”

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
