EastEnders fans are in love, and they’ve fallen hard. Ever since Mitch’s daughter Bailey Baker arrived in Walford, BBC viewers have become increasingly fond of the little girl.
And, after this week’s heartbreaking scenes, they are even more besotted with the “superstar”.

On Tuesday (March 12), BBC viewers witnessed some very moving scenes between Mitch and his daughter, when he had the heartbreaking task of telling her that her mum is dying.
But the nine-year-old, who is currently caring for terminally ill Dinah, shocked Mitch when she admitted she already knew her mum didn’t have long left.
And fans were blown away by her grown-up attitude and full of praise for the character, played by Kara-Leah Fernandes.

One said: “Genuinely shedding a tear at #EastEnders tonight. I love Mitch and Bailey, she is just a little superstar!”

Others called her “adorable” and “phenomenal”, while many more said the actress deserved an award for her portrayal of Bailey.
Some social media users praised the soap for highlighting the issues faced by the many young carers in the country.
Will Mitch and Karen adopt the little girl and give BBC fans what they so clearly want?
Bailey made her first appearance on January 10, 2019, although at that time nobody knew she was Mitch’s daughter.
Her half-sister Chantelle will soon be arriving in Walford, too.
Kara-Leah Fernandes starred in The Long Song before joining the cast of EastEnders.
