EastEnders fans beg bosses to leave Mick Carter in Australia

He's been visiting family abroad and fans want him to stay there

EastEnders fans have noticed the show has improved in recent weeks and they have made a shock plea to boss – leave Mick Carter in Australia.

The Queen Vic landlord stayed on Down Under to spend more time with his daughter Nancy after her wedding to Tamwar Masood.

But fans think his absence is responsible for the show being more enjoyable for them over recent weeks and they don’t want him back.

Posting on Digital Spy one said: “The show has become a lot more watchable in recent weeks. One of the reasons for that is Mick’s absence.”

When another was asked what they would like to see when Mick returns, they posted: “His exit.”

Another added: “A painful terminal illness.”

A third said: “The Carters have also been great over the last few weeks, clearly showing the problem is with ThickMick and his two facial expressions.

“Linda and Shirley have been on fire without him, especially Shirley. I’d be over the moon if Dyer quit.”

A fourth said: “It’s been great without Mick.”

A fifth said: “I actually forgot he was still in the show.”

Another pointed out Mick and the Carters had already been through almost all soap storylines in the brief time they have been in Walford.

“Is there any trauma he hasn’t been through yet? Or any storyline he hasn’t been shoehorned into?

“It’s ridiculous, what the Carters have been through in the last 6 years and I’m struggling to think of something new for them to throw at him…no affairs, not because I particularly am a Minda fan, but affair storylines are so lazy and repetitive.

“It’s awkward really, as he is tied to the pub, and all his dealings tend to revolve around his family.”
