But now The Sun claims she is facing an investigation after allegedly breaching her EastEnders contract.

It is reported that she has been “offered a huge sum” by a record label to feature their artists’ songs over her clips posted to the site.

The newspaper claims she had previously been offered a similar deal but was told that it would breach strict clauses in her contract.

An industry source said to the publication: “EastEnders do not take matters like this lightly.

“There’s no blanket rule on deals, and they take each case on its own merit. But if they’re asked if it’s OK and the star is told ‘No’, they take a very dim view about it then happening.

“Paired up with the incident a few weeks ago, it doesn’t look good. She will be spoken to in no uncertain terms and told it will not happen again.”

When approached for comment, an EastEnders spokeswoman confirmed: “We are looking into this matter.”

Maisie last posted on TikTok five days ago. She has posted daily updates for much of lockdown.

When does EastEnders return?

It was confirmed this week that EastEnders will return to screens next month after a three month break.

EastEnders will be back on air on Monday, September 7.

The show has been off-air since June after running out of regular episodes, due to the coronavirus pandemic halting production.

When episodes return they will be 20 minutes long but will still air four days a week.
