Nick Tilsley has been hiding a huge secret ever since he returned to Coronation Street – and fans got one step nearer to the truth this week.
In scenes aired last night (Wednesday 17 October), Nick received several phone calls from a mystery caller known only as ‘E’ – but who could it be?

After more than a year away from Weatherfield, Nick returned to be by the bedside of Leanne Battersby after she was knocked over by Ronan Truman.
However, after declaring his love for her and sharing his hopes for a reconciliation, Leanne shattered his dreams by rejecting him.
And, after receiving several persistent phone calls, Nick seemed to make a dramatic u-turn, deciding he would leave Weatherfield again and telling Peter Barlow: “There’s nothing for me here, is there?”
Next week, soap spoilers reveal the mystery surrounding Nick will get darker.
As the phone calls from ‘E’ continue, Nick is forced to lie to several people – and the lies will eventually catch up with him.
Shona overhears Nick making excuses over the phone, telling ‘E’ that he’s been called away to look after his mum – blatantly not true!
Confronting Nick on the lie, David arrives home in the middle of his girlfriend and big bro having a huge row, which results in another bombshell being dropped that distracts from Nick’s own secrets.
So who is this mystery caller?
According to newspaper reports, Nick is married!
Sadly, though, the marriage clearly didn’t end well and he has returned to Corrie without his wife and with his tail between his legs.
But, we’re told, his estranged wife soon tracks him down and blows his web of lies apart…
