David Platt faces rapist Josh Tucker in Coronation Street drama

Revenge is a dish best served cold

David Platt is given the opportunity to get revenge on his rapist Josh Tucker next week when the pair come face to face months after the attack.

Since the shocking act back in March, viewers have watched David go through all kinds of torment as he struggled to cope with being raped by the man he thought was his friend.

He’s still beyond livid at Billy Mayhew for visiting Josh in hospital and has nothing to say to the vicar when he calls round with the news that Josh has slung his hook.

David’s pretty shocked as well when he finds out that Bethany knew Billy had been visiting Josh but had kept quiet about it.

Frustrated at the pair of them he storms out of the house and heads for the salon where Josh finds him alone a little while later.

Will the now-blind former personal trainer finally apologise and admit to what he did to David?

We can’t tell you that but we can reveal that Billy is horrified when he spots a furious David bundling Josh into his car.

Where is he going and what’s he planning on doing?

Last time David got someone in a car with revenge on his mind was when he half killed his own brother Nick after finding out he’d slept with Kylie and could be the father of their daughter, Lily.

Does he have something equally sinister planned for Josh?

Actor Ryan Clayton spoke out last month about Josh’s horror exit from the ITV soap.

Ryan told Inside Soap: “When you’re a villain, the clock is always ticking.

“Josh will always consider himself the victim and protest his innocence – he won’t accept that he actually did what he did to David.

“He definitely deserves justice and I know that viewers are interested to know how this will happen.

“Perhaps his punishment has already begun, with the blindness he has suffered after being attacked – but there’s still a long way to go.”
