Coronation Street’s Brian Packham fights for life after bullying

It would be a terrible end to a very poor year...

The residents of Weatherfield might get a visit from the Grim Reaper this month, rather than Santa Claus.

It was never going to be a quiet Christmas in Coronation Street, but Brian Packham might be left fighting for his life in a shocking twist to his already sad story.

Viewers know that Brian (played by Peter Gunn) has been the victim of a tireless and cruel bullying campaign by colleague Phil.

Phil has been piling more and more pressure on his underling, forcing him to work through the night and meet unrealistic demands.

In upcoming scenes on the ITV soap, Brian will be seen putting together the nativity play at the school.

Every parent knows this is one of the highlights of the school year, for grown-ups and children alike.

In a sweet gesture, Brian will offer amputee Jack Webster a role in the school production… But in a typically mean move, Phil is unimpressed.

Phil: Misunderstood? Or just a nasty piece of work?

In yet another manipulative power play, Phil orders Brian to change the script overnight which leaves the teacher stressing his little socks off.

In a mad rush to rewrite the nativity, poor Brian faints and hits his head on the table on the way down.

Lying on the floor unconscious, has Brian paid the ultimate price for not standing up to tyrant Phil?

It has been reported that two characters will be killed off in Corrie this Christmas.

In other Corrie festive news, Tim will make a move on Gina behind the back of his wife Sally, who is in jail for a crime she didn’t commit.

Meanwhile, Jenny gets her revenge on husband Johnny’s affair with Liz, and Peter and Carla’s simmering sexual tension finally comes to a head.
