Ruxandra Porojnicu, who plays Alina Pop on Coronation Street, has confirmed her alter ego will be returning to the cobbles.
The actress posted a picture of a Corrie script on Twitter which had Alina’s name on it.

Alongside the picture, she tweeted: “I’m so excited @itvcorrie.”
Her followers are also thrilled to see she will be coming back to Weatherfield.
One wrote: “Great to see you coming back to Coronation Street. We need more scenes with Alina.”
A second tweeted: “Welcome back!”
A third said: “Fantastic news.”
Ruxandra’s character was last seen in August before she moved back to Romania.

Viewers first saw Alina in April when Seb went to do some jobs at the Sparkle Lounge nail bar.
Seb quickly fell for Alina but became suspicious of her off behaviour and her need to keep boss and ‘landlord’ Rachel happy.
He soon discovered Alina was living in the back of the salon and the workers were all trafficked.
It wasn’t long before Seb found out his housemate and Eileen’s boyfriend, Jan, was involved with the human traffickers.

Eventually the police were called and Rachel and her husband Nikolai were arrested.
It was also revealed that Jan was a police informant and was working to help bring the human traffickers down.
Alina decided to go back home to Romania, but it was recently rumoured she would be coming back.
It looks like that return will be soon!
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
