Jack P. Shepherd, who plays David Platt in Coronation Street, has revealed the results of his hair transplant.
Jack, who joined the cobbles in 2000, posted photos of the results to his Instagram page on Wednesday.
Jack captioned the post: “9 months it’s been since I had my hair transplant, this is the first time I’ve compared pictures to what I used to look like.
“I decided to get it done as it was affecting my mental health. To the point where I considered giving up acting and not being in the public eye.
“Thank you so much @asimshahmalak and everyone at Crown Clinic #hairtransplant #fuetranslant.”
Co-stars and fans commented on Jack’s post.
Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, wrote: “Looks brilliant mate and it helps so many people who feel just like you did, just letting them know they have options.”
Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, wrote: “2 days later ‘DARLING… YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING!!!’ Hahahahaha.”
One fan commented: “Wow amazing results!”
Jack, who started the transplant process at the beginning of the year, had the transplant done at Crown Clinic in Manchester by surgeon Asim Shahmalak.

He had more than 3000 hairs implanted into the front of his scalp just before the soap’s Christmas break.
He had a long-haired follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedure similar to Wayne Rooney. This meant the actor didn’t need his head shaving to obtain the donor hair from the back of his scalp.

Speaking about his hair loss, Jack said: “I had been depressed about my hair loss throughout my 20s and I knew I needed to get it sorted to protect my mental health.
“As an actor my hair and my looks are crucial to my success and if I go bald I’m not going to be considered for younger roles as I get older.
“I know a lot of actors have similar concerns as me and are desperate to cover up their baldness. We need surgical help not because we are particularly vain but to protect our livelihood as actors.”
