Coronation Street viewers confused over Norris’s secret child plot

Who knew he had it in him?!

| Updated:

Here’s a Corrie plot fit for an episode of ITV stablemate The Jeremy Kyle Show!

Colin the new Kabin owner is now convinced that Norris Cole is his secret father.

This has stemmed from Norris revealing that he spent some time in Darlington – Colin’s place of birth – in 1961.

As 1961 was also the year of his birth, Colin – play by comedian Jim Moir, has now concluded that Norris must be his father.

Further “evidence” for Colin to support this theory is that they wipe their glasses. Apparently.

Hmmm. Viewers are a little perplexed by this latest turn of events…

In upcoming scenes Colin will ask smitten Moira to pinch Norris’s blood test results from the medical centre so he can use a home-test DNA kit to see if they are related.

After being annoyed that Colin is asking her to risk her job, Moira forgives him and the pair end up spending the night together. Saucy.

And it seems this could result in the pair of them leaving Weatherfield.

Will we get to find out the truth about Colin’s paternity before they go?

Jim Moir – aka Vic Reeves – joined the cast back in July and initially bonded with Norris and Mary Taylor as they pretended to be a married couple to win a radio competition.

He said of the role at the time: “I’ve been a lifelong fan of Corrie. In fact, I think I saw the very first one.

“I try not to miss any episodes. I’m really looking forward to acting in Corrie. It’s a real thrill to be part of a British Institution.”
