Corrie villain Rick has secret famous cobbles brother

It's a family affair in Corrie

Coronation Street’s villain Rick Neelan has a secret connection to another cobbles character.

The evil loan shark is played by former Hollyoaks star Greg Wood, but that wasn’t always his name as he used to go by Greg Milburn.

His brother is none other than fellow actor Matt Milburn who plays local football celebrity Tommy Orpington in the soap.

The brothers both also starred in Hollyoaks with Matt playing student Joe Spencer and Greg playing gangster Trevor Royle but has yet to appear in the same show at the same time – until now that is.

Tommy has been making increasingly more appearances in Corrie recently, while Rick returned last night and is set to stay for a long while.

Social media pictures have shown him still filming now, meaning he will still be on screen in two months.

Greg previously said how he wanted to work with his brother.

He told Inside Soap: “Matt and I haven’t worked together yet, but I think it would be great if we did.

“It’s nice to have another actor in the family. Matt understands where I am coming from, and we help each other out.”

And with viewers loving Rick’s return to the soap, it could all become a reality.

One said: “I love the fact that Rick is back on the cobbles. He plays such a good baddy!”
