Corrie responds to fans’ panic that Adam Barlow’s exit is permanent

Viewers have been worried he's left the cobbles for good

Coronation Street has finally confirmed whether or not Adam Barlow has left the cobbles for good after getting in a taxi and heading for a new life in France with Eva and baby Susie last week.

Fans were left wondering if this is the last we will see of Adam on the Street, pondering over whether actor Samuel Robertson had left the show permanently.

Coronation Street has confirmed that this is the last time we will see Eva on the cobbles. But what about Adam?

Thankfully for Adam fans, he is mentioned again in next week’s storylines, a week after Eva’s last scenes on the Street.

Adam is mentioned as part of a storyline where Imran goes to meet his new client at the police station and it’s none other than conman Duncan Radfield who stole charity money via former mayor Sally Metcalfe.

While Duncan lies that Sally was to blame for the £40,000 of council money going missing, Imran wonders whether to take the case on, asking Adam for his advice.

But while this is good news for Adam fans, it doesn’t look like Eva and Adam get the happy ending everyone was hoping for.

So why doesn’t Adam go to France? Is it a temporary glitch and he’s following her abroad at a later date?
