Corrie’s Lucy Fallon’s baby joy as sister gives birth to a boy

She's an aunt again!

Lucy Fallon has revealed her excitement at becoming an aunt again.

The Coronation Street star has gushed on social media about her sister going into labour with adorable excitement.

Bethany Platt star Lucy began the countdown four days ago, tweeting about her elder sister’s due date.

She said: “My sisters baby is due tomorrow… absolutely MAD. Tonnes of cute baby pics pending x”

But when no baby appeared, Lucy began a baby countdown and four days after the original tweet, she told today how her sister had gone into labour finally.

“It’s happening!” she tweeted to her 127.5k followers.

Lucy’s celeb pals were quick to offer their congratulations to Lucy’s sister.

Her former Corrie co-star Hayley Tamaddon replied: “Ahhhhhh! Amazing! Can’t wait to hear all about it! 💖💖”

Lucy went on to confirm her sister had given birth to a bouncing baby boy.

She posted a picture of balloons for the new arrival alongside the words: “ILY (I love you) babe.”

The actress herself has previously said how she can’t wait to marry boyfriend Tom Leech and start their family.

She told OK! magazine: “I know we’ll get married and have babies together.”

Lucy recently shocked Corrie fans by announcing she was quitting the soap after four years playing grooming victim Bethany Platt.

She tweeted: “Would’ve liked the chance to announce this in my own time lol… However, after the most incredible four years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020.

“It’s hard to put into words how much this show means to me.

“I’ve made lifelong friends with some of the most talented people in the industry, I’ve had some terrific and immensely important storylines and I’ve laughed with the best people every day.

“I’m so thankful to Iain and everyone at Coronation Street, I owe everything to them and I will miss them greatly. Thank you so much for your support and love… Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Bethany this year.”
