ITV viewers were in shock after Coronation Street showed Gemma’s mum Bernie stripping naked to seduce Chesney.
Conwoman Bernie convinced Chesney to let her move into his house earlier this week and she has definitely made herself at home.
She stripped off for her breakfast – much to the horror of poor Chesney, fresh from dropping son Joseph off at holiday club.
Walking into the house to find Bernie in her birthday suit, he exclaimed: “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.
“I didn’t mean to walk in on you. Where are your clothes? Do you want me to get them for you?”

But instead of taking him up on the offer to cover up while a guest in his house, Bernie decided to keep eating her breakfast in front of her horrified son in law.
She told him: “Oh I don’t want them.
“It’s 10am on a summer’s morning. I mean, I wouldn’t go out dressed like this but in the privacy of my own home, correction, your own home…”
As Chesney struggled to cope with Bernie standing starkers in his house, she then tried to seduce him.
Walking up and standing directly behind him, she said: “Do you have a problem with me being naked?”
“You’re too sweet for our Gemma, no wonder it didn’t work out. Don’t you fancy a piece of my toast?”

The scenes were too much for some, with viewers wanting to know what had happened to the show’s legendary humour and wit.
One said: “Gemma’s mum is a skanky old predator. It’s not hilarious to see someone being sexually harassed incessantly. I hope this storyline is over by today. #corrie.”
A second said: “If the Gemma mum thing is their idea of bringing humour into the show, they need new writers. #corrie.”
