Lucy, who plays Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, hasn’t given an update on her allergy yet, but hopefully it isn’t serious.

Lucy joined Coronation Street back in 2015 as Sarah’s daughter Bethany.

She arrived after running away from Milan and refused to return home, and her mum had to come after her.

During her time on the cobbles, she has had some tough storylines including a child grooming and exploitation storyline.

After being bullied by a group of girls at school, a self-conscious Bethany met a charming man named Nathan Curtis.

However, Nathan soon began asking Bethany to sleep with his friends saying he owed them favours, however, Nathan was taking money from the men.

Bethany eventually discovered the truth through Shona Ramsey, who had also been taken in by Nathan.

She later stood up and testified against Nathan, Neil Clifton and the other men in court, who were sent to prison for rape.

Earlier this year, it was announced Lucy would be leaving the soap when her contract ends in 2020.

She also revealed she would like Bethany to return to Milan and will comeback to the soap one day.

The 23-year old actress told Mirror Online: “I will be sad but I’m excited to see what’s going to happen in the future, although I have no idea what’s going to happen.

“When I leave I’ll have been there for five years and I’ve never done anything else, so I just want to try new things and do new things,” Lucy added.

“But I’ll end up going back – I’ll be back.”

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
