Actress lashed out at the stalker on Twitter

Lisa George, who plays Beth Tinker in Coronation Street, has revealed she’s had her own real-life turmoil behind the scenes.

The soap actress claims she has a stalker, and recently lashed out at the perpetrator via Twitter.

However, the message – which contained an obscenity – was later deleted.

According to The Sun, her original tweet read: “To the guy who is stalking me with your fake acct- you know who you are!- [bleep] OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!”

A spokesperson for the ITV1 soap told the newspaper: “We take the safety of our cast and crew very seriously and they can always speak to security if they have any concerns about anything.”

Lisa usually only uses her Twitter account to share her love of dogs with her 23,400 followers.

A long-serving security officer from Coronation Street, who goes by the name Dave The King on Twitter, later replied to her tweet, saying: “I’m watching so quietly disappear.”

Lisa ‘liked’ the comment, but later deleted her own message, perhaps for fear of reprisals.

The nightmare could be straight out of a Coronation Street storyline…

Last year, Will Chatterton was finally exposed as Michelle O’Connor’s creepy stalker.

The storyline was very close to home for actress Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle.

Kym was also a victim of an online stalking campaign for 10 years. At its worst, it even involved her youngest daughter Polly.
