Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn wears ‘peachy wig’ as she parties with Alexandra Mardell at Leeds festival

Actress Katie McGlynn sported a ‘peachy wig’ as she partied at Leeds festival with Coronation Street co-star Alexandra Mardell.

Katie, who plays Sinead Tinker in the ITV soap, posted the pictures to her Instagram page.

Katie captioned the post: “Now I’ve got battery back on my communication device expect lots of @officialrandl spam, thanks @hairarvina for my peachy wig #randl2019.”

Fans were quick to comment on the post.

Katie also shared pictures with her co-star Alexandra, who plays Emma Brooker.

Katie joined Corrie in 2013 as Beth Sutherland’s niece Sinead.

Beth decided to set Sinead up with her boyfriend Kirk’s friend, Chesney Brown.

After a couple of years of being on and off with Chesney, the pair eventually split up but remained friends.

Last year, Sinead was diagnosed with cervical cancer after she began bleeding during her pregnancy.

Instead of having chemotherapy straight away, she decided to carry on with her pregnancy.

Sinead gave birth to her son Bertie and despite being born prematurely, he survived and is healthy.

Sinead and husband Daniel were thrilled after Sinead completed treatment for her cervical cancer earlier this year.

She is still under the care of a consultant at the hospital and needs another MRI scan to see if her gruelling chemotherapy has worked.

Sinead was told that her tumour has shrunk and showed no evidence of spreading, but reports suggest she will soon discover her cancer is terminal in a devastating twist.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
