Jan the builder arrived on the cobbles a couple of months ago and soon charmed Eileen Grimshaw.Seb soon suggested that Eileen take Jan in as a lodger in order to have someone paying rent.
Last week, Jan and Eileen ended up kissing after Eileen opened up about her failed relationships and marriage to serial killer Pat Phelan.
Although Eileen said she wasn't ready to have another relationship, Liz gave her some advice and she decided she wanted to start trusting again and wanted to see how things go with Jan, taking it slowly.
Last night (July 15 2019), Eileen was left suspicious when it appeared Jan and Paula knew each other and when she questioned Paula, she was quick to shut the conversation down.
Her good friend Liz decided to look up Jan on the internet and found that he was previously a drug dealer.
Eileen confronted her new man and told him he wanted him to move out. Jan later explained that he had done it to earn money for his mum so he could look after her, but had learnt from it and was a good person.
Eileen soon forgave him but as they were clearing their dinner away, Jan offered to take the rubbish after he received a message.
Yes, yeah. No it's all been taken care of. No you've got nothing to worry about. Look it's not a good moment now, I'll speak to you tomorrow, yeah? Okay?
Once outside he made a phone call saying: "Yes, yeah. No it's all been taken care of. No you've got nothing to worry about. Look it's not a good moment now, I'll speak to you tomorrow, yeah? Okay?"
But who was he calling?
Viewers have a theory that Jan isn't a bad guy at all and is actually an undercover police officer.
Later this week viewers will see Jan go to see Seb's ex-girlfriend Alina Pop at the nail bar, warning her not to contact Seb as it's too dangerous.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
