Viewers of Coronation Street have been left divided as it was revealed that Jade is John Stape’s daughter.
Jade first arrived on the cobbles a couple of months ago after Fiz called her to help out with her daughter Hope, unaware of who she is.
Fiz and Jade met in Birmingham while Hope was attending a school which specialises in children with behaviour problems.
When Tyrone forgot to enrol Fiz back in school and she couldn’t get a place last minute, Fiz called Jade to come and stay with them and be a live-in tutor until Hope got back into school.
Since Jade’s arrival, viewers have felt there’s something odd about her.
This week, a fire was started in Fiz and Tyrone’s back yard and immediately the blame was put on Hope, who they also believe started the factory fire.
In tonight’s episodes (November 27 2019), Jade mentioned to Evelyn that Fiz’s behaviour was worrying her.
But Jade proved to have a more sinister plan when she got Hope to play their “secret game” of doctors, where Jade put make-up bruises on Hope.
She then took a picture of the bruises – but what will she do with the photos?

When Jade expressed her concerns about Fiz to Evelyn once again, Evelyn got angry with her making comments about her grandson’s partner.
Jade made a quick exit and, as the second episode came to a close, she made her way to a grave and put flowers down before reading from a poetry book.

As tears streamed down her face, Jade said: “I love you Dad” and the grave was revealed to be John Stape.
Many viewers weren’t shocked by the revelation, knowing Jade was going to be related to John.

Fans of the show know serial killer John is Hope’s biological father.
He died in 2011 after a car accident, but never mentioned he had another child.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
