Coronation Street viewers “disgusted” as Gemma licks her plate clean

Chesney didn't appear too happy either!

Coronation Street viewers were left “disgusted” after Gemma licked her plate clean.

In yesterday’s episode (April 1) Chesney came downstairs and asked if his girlfriend was going to get dressed today but she replied saying she was on sick leave.

He was then left disgusted when he asked her to do the washing up and she licked her plate clean and put it in the drying rack.

The kebab shop worker wasn’t the only one mortified by Gemma’s idea of washing up.

Gemma recently moved in with her boyfriend Ches but it appears he’s getting fed up of his girlfriend’s laziness.

Last night Gemma, her brother Paul and Chesney’s son Joseph pulled an April fools joke on him by tying Gemma up in the garden and covering her in tomato sauce.

However, Chesney didn’t see the funny side to the prank and ended up storming off.

Later this week, Chesney is faced with more drama at home, this time coming down the stairs to find the washing machine flooding and Gemma oblivious because she’s got her headphones in.

Gemma is mortified and promises to get a new machine… but instead of heading to a shop, she goes to see Hong Kong Stuey who cuts her a deal.

Chesney is horrified when he comes home to see smoke billowing under the door and loud music playing, and enlists Tyrone’s help to break down the door, thinking his home is on fire.

But of course, Gemma is to blame once again, and it turns out she bought a sound system and a smoke machine from Stuey, leaving Chesney baffled.

At his wits’ end, Chesney admits to Tyrone that living with Gemma is like having another child and wonders if they have any sort of future together. Will they end their romance already?

Coronation Street is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, with an extra episode on Thursday at 8.30pm on ITV.
