It has been revealed how Steve is actually Emma’s biological father from his relationship with her mother Fiona Middleton.

Filming pictures in The Sun show the moment Steve comforts Emma as she buried her dad, with neither of them knowing they are related.

But while Steve attends the funeral, there’s no sign of Fiona, but Fiona’s other child, Morgan Middleton, is there according to the publication.

Emma can be seen dressed in black for the sombre occasion, accompanied by flatmate and work colleague Maria Connor.

Alongside them is a tall man, believed to be Emma’s big brother, Morgan.

Morgan was the son of Fiona and her fiancé Alan McKenna, but as she’d had an affair with Steve McDonald‘s father Jim, the paternity of Morgan was in doubt, until a test proved Alan was the dad.

Fiona eventually started a relationship and moved in with Steve, but he cheated on her with Maxine Shaw and Fiona left the Street in 1998.

It’s now believed that she was pregnant when she left and the baby is Emma.

But before finding out the truth, Emma’s set to be left devastated by the news the man she thought was her dad has died.

A TV source told The Sun Online: “Emma hasn’t mentioned her family much since arriving on the cobbles but she does love them.

“She’s going to be completely devastated by the sudden death of her dad. She was the apple of his eye and she worshipped him.

“It’s going to be really tough for her. Especially when her mum Fiona visits to tell her the heartbreaking news.”

Ever since Alexandra joined the show in April 2018 fans have speculated she could be Fiona’s daughter, because the pair are both hairdressers and have similarities.

However, Alexandra has previously insisted the potential plot is “definitely not true”.
