Coronation Street has hinted at devastating news for Daniel Osbourne.
The waiter can be seen looking upset as he receives a phone call in the kitchen at the bistro in a Saturday sneak peek released by the soap.
Could Sinead's cancer have returned?
It was recently reported how Sinead's cancer would return as actress Katie McGlynn bows out of the soap after six years.
Sinead will reportedly receive the devastating news that all treatment has failed and the only option left to her is whether she wants to die at home or in a hospice.
In devastating scenes that follow, Sinead will make a heartbreaking exit from the soap when her character loses her cancer battle.
A TV insider told The Sun: "From her two rocky relationships to the mini-bus crash, she's been in some of Corrie's most captivating storylines.
"And producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap, but she will make an unforgettable departure which is set to leave viewers in tears."
Sinead was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year, and the emotional plot saw her make the agonising decision between having her and Daniel's baby or having radiotherapy which might save her life.
She put her baby son, Bertie, first and gave birth in January.
After having her child, Sinead had aggressive chemotherapy, and seems to be beating it.
Reacting to the news on Digital Spy Forums, one fan wrote: "This really saddens me, as I love the Sinead/Daniel pairing, but it was always going to end this way if the rumours about Katie leaving were true!
"Better than one of them having an affair or something equally ridiculous, but sad nevertheless!"
Another added: "Very sad news but inevitable. Rob Mallard and Katie McGlynn will be terrific in this."
