Next week’s Coronation Street sees Eileen Grimshaw making plans to leave the cobbles with boyfriend Jan Lozinski after discovering his secret police work… but is she putting herself in grave danger?
The last few weeks have seen Eileen inadvertently caught up in the human trafficking drama recently after discovering Jan was part of Rachel and Nikolai’s illegal work that saw Alaina Pop brought over to the UK.
But while Coronation Street fans have since discovered that Jan is actually a police informant working to expose evil Rachel and Nikolai, until now Eileen has remained in the dark that Jan is one of the good guys.

But that’s all set to change next week when Jan risks everything by coming back to the cobbles to see Eileen and tell her the truth about his involvement in the drama.
Jan tells Eileen that he loves her and wants her to move away with him to Amsterdam… but having been convinced that Jan was part of the evil trafficking gang, Eileen takes a bit of convincing.
In the end Paula is the one who confirms Jan’s story and tells Eileen that he must really love her because he is risking everything to come to Weatherfield to see her.
As Eileen is given food for thought, she tells a stunned Seb the truth about Jan and that she is considering moving into witness protection to be with him. But will Seb support her decision?
As Seb reels from the news that Jan was working undercover for the police all this time, he’s thrilled when Alina comes to see him and he tells her everything he knows about Jan’s secret life.
But sadly for Seb it’s not enough to make Alina stay and she bids him a sad farewell, leaving him devastated. But is there more to her departure than meets the eye?
While Seb is nursing a broken heart once again, he and Eileen are unaware that they’re being watched from across the street by none other than evil Rachel.
As the pair head out of number 11, Seb clocks a strange car parked across the street and becomes convinced that they are in more danger than they realised…
But while Seb is panicking, Eileen is torn when Jan tells her his plans to lie low in Birmingham until after the court case and urges her to come with him.

In the end it is Seb who makes Eileen’s mind up for her when he tells her about the dodgy car that has been following them and warns her to be careful.
Realising that she will always be in danger if she is with Jan, Eileen goes to meet him at a truck stop and feels her heart breaking as she tells him she can’t move away with him.
But how will Jan take the news? And will he be able to change her mind and convince Eileen to start a new life together somewhere new?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
