Devoted husband Daniel Osbourne will seek comfort in Bethany Platt‘s arms when he discovers wife Sinead is dying in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, according to a report.
This week has already seen Daniel get overprotective of Bethany after an old cohort of Nathan’s came into the Bistro.
Fans noticed there was a spark between them and couldn’t help themselves shipping a romance between the two.

But Daniel’s wife, Sinead, who he is planning on marrying for real after they committed to each other in a pagan ceremony last year, is set to be devastated when she discovers her cancer has returned, which will send Daniel spiralling.
As he tries to deal with what’s happening, he is said to confide in Bethany about his fears, and she will in turn open up to him about her abuse at the hands of Nathan Curtis and his gang of groomers.
But their emotional heart-to-heart sees them give into their growing feelings for each other and share a kiss.
A source told The Sun: “They’re both really vulnerable and one minute they’re talking and the next they’re snogging.
“Daniel is going to be guilt-stricken over what he’s done to Sinead, and he’s terrified he’s getting his dad’s worst qualities.
“Bethany will confide in her family over what’s happened to try and come to terms with her own guilt.”
Coronation Street declined to comment when The Sun approached them.
Sinead actress Katie McGlynn is set to depart the cobbles, and reports have suggested she will lose her cancer battle.
She was first diagnosed last year, when she was pregnant with her first child.
Wanting to be a mum, she delayed treatment in order to carry her baby to full term.
Bertie was delivered safely in January, but Sinead’s condition had worsened and she had to have aggressive treatment to save her life.

Recent scans have shown she’s beating the disease, but that’s sadly not set to continue.
Will she die with her husband by her side? Or will his cheating break them apart?
And does the kiss lead to Bethany’s exit? Actress Lucy Fallon has also quit the cobbles and is set to depart later this year.
