Carla's paranoia grows and Peter is left worrying when his she goes missing in this week's Coronation Street.
It's a bad day on Monday for Carla as she refuses to visit Aidan's grave on his birthday not wanting to bump into Kate.
However, Peter doesn't give up on the idea and collars Johnny to do him a favour. Having convinced Carla her family have already visited, they go to Aidan's grave.
Back at the Rovers the Connors raise a glass to Aidan. However, Kate is outraged that Peter brought Carla to join them and angrily accuses her sister of killing Rana.
As Kate storms into the back, Carla's horrified when she receives a message online "you destroy everything you touch". Handing her phone to Michelle and Peter, they're shocked to see the senders name is Rana.
Johnny confides in Michelle that he fears the message could push Carla over the edge.
When Peter finds Carla sitting in Victoria Gardens and leads her home, Carla look around nervously certain she's being watched.
Back at No.1 Peter and Ken worry about the businesswoman as she knocks back wine while gazing listlessly into thin air. She is completely freaked out when she receives another message from Rana.
She leaves a voicemail for Rana asking her to ring her back, Meanwhile Peter, Kate and Alya try to find out who has been sending the messages.
Carla grows more and more paranoid when she covers the webcam of her laptop, fearing she's being spied on.
Seeing Peter's bewilderment at her erratic behaviour, she panics he's been brainwashed. To make matters worse, when Carla hears Rick's whispered threats to Gary in the backyard of No.1, her paranoia soars.
Peter and Ken become even more worried about the factory owner as she scribbles the words "watching" and "murder" on a crossword and throws her tea down the sink convinced she's being poisoned.
Her paranoia swirls out of control and she leaves the house barefoot.
When Peter goes to look for her he finds her staring at the remains of the factory.
Realising she's seriously ill he takes her to the medical centre.
Carla thinks it's a trap and as Toyah takes her through to the consulting room, explaining to Peter she needs to see a mental health specialist, she panics.
When the two return they are horrified to learn Carla has escaped through a window.
Concerned, Peter calls the police and reports her missing. Will anyone be able to track Carla down before something bad happens?
Coronation Street is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, with an extra episode on Thursday at 8.30pm on ITV.
