It looks like Alya could be onto Geoff’s lies as he makes an error in tonight’s Coronation Street.
In a preview for Monday’s episodes (September 2 2019) Alya comes home and sees Yasmeen trying to hide a document under a cushion.
But of course Alya quickly grabs the document and begins questioning her grandmother.
Alya asks her gran if she’s ill, however Yasmeen has to admit it’s Geoff and not to say anything to him or anyone else.
The Speed Daal worker then tells her granddaughter she’s made a mess of things by telling Sally, Tim’s daughter-in-law, that she thought Geoff had cancer and nearly gave his son Tim another heart attack.
Despite Alya trying to tell Yasmeen it isn’t her fault, Yasmeen says: “Everything I’ve put Geoff through, it can’t have helped. I wouldn’t be surprised if the stress brought it on.”
Alya began to look concerned and asked her if that’s what Geoff said but Yasmeen responded: “He didn’t have to. That print out from Doctor Gaddas practically confirms it.”
As Alya looks over the paperwork, she clearly notices something fishy. She says to Yasmeen: “Wait a minute, Geoff got this from the medical centre?”

When Yasmeen confirms it and asks why, Alya folds up the documents and says: “Nothing, nothing.”
But as Yasmeen continues to poke for answers, Alya says: “It’s just, this doesn’t look like something a doctor would hand out, it looks like it’s been printed off the internet.”
Yasmeen defends Geoff saying she’s sure he said Doctor Gaddas gave it to him and Alya tells her grandmother to ignore her.
As she gets up to put the kettle on, Geoff can be seen watching the women through the secret camera he set up in Yasmeen’s home.
As he shuts his laptop he starts looking worried. Has Alya rumbled his plan?
Corrie viewers know that Yasmeen is a victim of Geoff’s coercive control.
Alya became suspicious of her nan’s partner a couple of weeks ago when precious items went missing from their home and she saw Geoff with one of the stolen necklaces.
He later produced a receipt saying he purchased the same necklace as he knew how much Yasmeen loved it.
However, it was revealed later that Geoff had stolen Yasmeen’s belongings, which included a framed photo of her late son Kal and a bracelet from her wedding day.
Viewers were left furious when Geoff ripped up the picture of Kal after selling Yasmeen’s things.
Recently Geoff broke up with Yasmeen after he spent her insurance money on having security cameras set up in her home.

When she told him she didn’t want the cameras in her home he accused her of always putting him down.
He took down the cameras and moved out and in with his son Tim and his wife Sally.
However, Geoff left one camera hidden in the living room in order to spy on Yasmeen.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
