The residents of Coronation Street had better watch out this festive season because it’s not just Santa Claus coming to town…
Vengeful Derek Milligan is after Gary Windass who he blames for destroying his life.
He wants to make Gary pay, and when he finds an anitque rifle in the furniture shop, left there by Fiz, everyone on the Street is in danger.

In the new promo video, Gary is seen walking into a festive-looking Rovers all suited and booted.
Most other cobbles residents are in there, including Gary’s girlfriend, Maria Connor, ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt, and bickering couple Robert Preston and Michelle Connor.
Everyone’s dolled up to the nines, but no one’s looking particularly joyful!
As each resident looks inside a small gift box, it’s Gary’s box that contains a bullet.
Derek will go into the pub and terrify the locals with the gun, but when he hunts down Gary, the pair end up fighting at the top of a helter skelter at the funfair on the cobbles.
Shots will be fired and someone will lose their life and rumours have been rife Robert Preston will be the one to die, although that has not been confirmed.

Show boss Iain Macleod has admitted the decision to involve a firearm in the Christmas Day episode is not one he “took lightly”.
“I’m aware the presence of firearms on Coronation Street is very controversial, so this wasn’t a decision we took lightly.
“But it just felt there was an interesting side avenue to what Gary’s been doing that hasn’t really been explored yet and doing something involving a firearm felt like a realistic pay off when we’re telling a story about loan sharking and the pressures of poverty and the mental collapse that can cause.”
