Fans of Coronation Street have been left shocked after Jan was shot by Rachel.
Police informant Jan had been spying on the human trafficking gang to put a stop to their evil plans.
But after getting Eileen Grimshaw caught up in it all, he was forced to flee Weatherfield. He wanted to save them both from the gang’s revenge.
Sadly he couldn’t stay away and kept sneaking back for secret meetings with his former landlady Eileen.
Even worse this led to Rachel finding out Jan’s whereabouts. She then proved she was just as deadly as her husband.

The salon manager had claimed to be under thrall of her gang leader hubby. She said that she was only keeping the slaves out of fear of him.
But when she found Jan hugging Eileen at a truck stop as he prepared to leave for good things took a deadly turn.

Pulling out a gun, Rachel stalked the pair before getting close enough to shoot Jan.
Eileen was covered in blood and began screaming for the truckers around her to help Jan while Rachel made her escape.
Viewers were in shock at the scenes as was Eileen who has barely recovered from her last husband trying to kill everyone.

Later it was revealed Jan had survived the shooting, and an emotional Eileen told him she was going to leave with him for a life on the run.
