Coronation Street fans were left shocked when Fiona Middleton make a return to screens last night.
In Monday's double dose of Corrie (August 12 2019) Emma decided to go and visit her dad, who has stomach cancer, in hospital.
Audrey went with Emma in order to give her some support, but when Emma went to father's bedside, he made a shocking confession.
He told his daughter that he always loved her like she was his own. Confused by his words, Emma decided to ring her mum in order to get some answers.
She was left heartbroken when her mum told her she was sorry she had to find out that way, meaning the man who raised her wasn't biologically her father.
Emma's mum attempted to ring her once more, but poor Emma was too upset to even speak to her.
As Emma ran off, she left her mobile phone on the chair. Audrey picked it up and was shocked to see a picture of former cobbles resident Fiona Middleton.
Audrey wasn't the only one shocked as viewers were also stunned to see Fiona.
Audrey tried to get some more information about Fiona from Emma as she began to realise Emma's biological dad could be closer than she thought.
Emma revealed that her mum had never asked about where she was living, and it became apparent they weren't very close.
Shortly after Emma's discovery the man who raised her and she believed to be her dad, passed away from his cancer.
Audrey went back to the Rovers to talk to Steve's mum Liz about what she had found out.
They managed to piece bits together and realised that Emma could very well be Steve's daughter.
Coronation Street fans will remember Fiona was on the cobbles from 1992 till 1998.
During her time on the street, Fiona worked in Denise Osbourne's salon as a hairdresser.
She had relationships with Steve McDonald, an affair with Steve's dad Jim, and had a baby boy named Morgan with Detective Alan McKenna in 1998.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
