Viewers of ITV’s Coronation Street were left angry after last night’s controversial episodes which saw Gary Windass suggest to Nicola Rubinstein that she should abort their unborn child.
Love rat Gary cheated on girlfriend Sarah Platt with Nicola, resulting in her pregnancy which was revealed on Wednesday’s show, and is now trying to cover his tracks.
Although saying that he wanted to play a part in the child’s upbringing, Gary went on to say: “Look, please don’t hate me for saying this and of course it’s your choice…
“I think you should consider a termination.”

As well as angering Nicola, who told him to “Get out”, his comments also infuriated viewers who took to Twitter to air their feelings about the mechanic’s comments.
One angry male viewer said: “Once again, TV shows paint all blokes as sleazeballs with Gary’s classy approach to abortion. Get your act together!”
Another added: “Gary. You’re pathetic. Classic cheat.”
“That’s the last thing Nicola wanted to hear Gary” commented a third.
Gary’s insensitive comments didn’t stop there. He continued: “You do this and I promise one day you’ll look back and we’ll realise you did the right thing.”

The two think they’re the only ones who know about their secret, however when the pregnancy was revealed earlier this week, David Platt, Sarah’s brother, was lurking just around the corner.
We think things are about to get a little more complicated for Gary on the show…
