Coronation Street fans fed up of soap airing LATE every night this week because of BGT

Don't mess with soap fans!

Fans of Coronation Street have slammed ITV for consistently showing the soap LATE during the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals.

This week has been huge for the channel, with the talent show going live in the lead up to Sunday’s grand finale and several Corrie storylines coming to a dramatic head in the later slot of 9pm.

But many viewers have been left frustrated with the live BGT shows running late, forcing them to wait for their trip to Weatherfield.

During last night’s BGT – in which magician Ben Hart and singer Mark McMullan got through – viewers were all too aware of the clock ticking past Corrie’s supposed start time.

One said: “#Corrie late due to mucking about on #

Another said: “Can someone at @ITV start checking the clock…!!! 21.03 now FFS late again…!!!!! Why are we waiting…!!!?? Stop putting so many bloody ads on during ya BGT crap #Corrie.”

A third added: “Very unhappy about [bleep] BGT messing up my Corrie schedule. Bore off.”

“This waiting around for Corrie is beyond a [bleep] joke!! #B shouldn’t be taking up the entire week! These talent shows have had their day,” fumed another, and one more wrote: “After all that excitement it’s over to #Corrie 21.00 @ITV WTF are we getting our Corrie late again???”

However one fan had the idea of combining both the ITV soap and the Simon Cowell talent show, typing: “Perhaps they should combine Britain’s Got Talent with Coronation Street and have David Platt throwing knives at an elderly comedian, while Audrey sings a heavy-metal song with some random women from Utrecht.”

Genius!

The semi-finals of BGT continue tonight at 7.30pm, before a special episode of Corrie dedicated to Carla Connor’s severe psychotic episode.
