Coronation Street SPOILERS: Daniel ‘hit by a car’ in aftermath of Sinead’s death

He's on a downward trajectory

Daniel Osbourne’s downward spiral after the death of his wife Sinead will continue in devastating Coronation Street scenes to come later this year.

The new dad said goodbye to Sinead in tragic scenes last month, when she lost her battle with cancer.

Her husband now faces the prospect of being left alone to bring up their son Bertie, coupled with the fact he is doubled over in grief.

The normal grieving process is, of course, made worse by the fact that he cheated on Sinead when she was on her death bed.

He will increasingly struggle to cope with living without Sinead and raising his son Bertie.

The widower – played by Rob Mallard – is a broken man and recently left the cobbles to grieve with his baby son after a clash with Sinead’s aunt Beth over his kiss with Bethany.

Now The Sun Online reports that Daniel’s downward spiral will worsen in the coming weeks.

A source said: “Daniel’s not going to be able to catch a break over the next few months.

“He will increasingly struggle to cope with living without Sinead and raising his son Bertie.

“His stress levels will rocket and he won’t be paying attention and will end up being hit by a car.”

The insider continued: “It really shakes him up realising how close to death he could have been with it potentially leaving Bertie as an orphan as a baby.”

Spoilers tell us that Daniel and Bethany’s complicated relationship will play out into next year.

With Bethany actress Lucy Fallon departing next year, it seems it’s not likely to be a happy ending for them whatever happens.
