Nick Tilsley’s highly-anticipated Coronation Street return will soon be here.
The former Bistro owner will make his on-screen comeback in a matter of weeks but his return is still shrouded in mystery.
He left more than a year ago after being devastated when his family life with Leanne Battersby fell apart.
The couple had been raising baby Olly together as parents, hiding the truth that Steve McDonald was his biological father.
Their happy secret was blown apart when Steve, overcome with guilt, revealed the truth to his wife Michelle.
A typical soap explosive storyline followed with Nick almost dying in quicksand.
He soon realised that he had to leave Weatherfield for his own sanity and promptly flogged his remaining share of the Bistro to Robert Preston.
A low key exit followed as Nick moved away to begin a new life.
But while he’s been away, his ex Carla Connor has returned to the cobbles leading many to suspect that the old love triangle is about to resumed.
Nick famously battled Peter Barlow for both Carla and Leanne, so could his comeback see a return to that?
Actress Alison King recently teased: “Nick was the love of her life and he was the calm one.

“He is the calm grown up, the one that would have been good for her, and then there is Peter who couldn’t be more different.
“There is a lot there to be explored, it will interesting to see what impact his return has.”
Viewers have watched Carla fight against her own growing feelings for Peter, while Leanne has moved on completely.
