Coronation Street haunted by Pat Phelan as Eileen unveils another secret from beyond his grave

He may be dead but the evil killer still has influence over lives in Weatherfield

Corrie villain Pat Phelan may have come to a horrible end when he was stabbed to death last June, but his presence is set to be felt in Weatherfield once again.

According to the soap’s official website Eileen will discover her vile ex is still capable of giving her a nasty surprise when a secret stash of cash is found hidden in her house.

A sneak peek shows killer Pat’s widow, Sean Tully and Seb Franklin open-mouthed at the find, which had apparently been hidden under the kitchen floor.

“Seb uncovers the result of one of Phelan’s dodgy deals – an envelope full of cash!” the Corrie site teases.

But what will Eileen do with the money?

And with Sean and Seb both aware the haul has been found, will they be on board with any decision Eileen makes or could they go against her wishes?

Or could Eileen decide Pat’s victims have a claim on the loot rather than keeping the ill-gotten gains for those a little closer to home?

Dodgy Pat had his fingers in many illicit pies, including the Calcutta Street scam that swindled the likes of Rita Sullivan and Sarah-Louise Platt of their savings.

The possible windfall will be found in scenes scheduled to be shown in early December.

And in a possible link to the plot, actress Nicola Thorp – who plays Pat’s daughter Nicola Rubenstein – recently returned to the Corrie set for filming after six months away.

In storyline, the soap character headed off down south with baby Zak and Eileen after her serial killer dad’s downfall.

And while it isn’t clear how long the character may be sticking around in Weatherfield, it is believed her early 2019 return to visit Eileen will cause plenty of trouble on the Street.

– Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
